Eildon Hall, Newtown St Boswells, Melrose, The Scottish Borders

Description – Full refurbishment of a 19th Century Mansion house including all electrical services throughout the main building and external courtyards. JDC worked closely with the project architect, interior designer and the design team members to deliver a complex and ambitious project which realised the clients vision and provided a sustainable future for our client.

Shambellie House, New Abbey, Dumfries

Client – Shambellie House Trust

Description – Survey and appraisal of existing services and design and specification of refurbishment areas to enable alteration to form a creative tourism destination, and a hub for supporting small and micro businesses operating in the creative sector.

Castle of Mey, Granary Lodge, Caithness

Client – Taylor and Fraser Limited – The Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust

Value – £2.6m

Description – The project works included a complete refurbishment of the existing three story former granary building with a new build single story extension to provide accommodation and events facilities within the Castle of Mey estate grounds, Caithness.

The Main contractor for the project was Taylor and Fraser Limited, JDC worked closely with the main contractor to successfully deliver the project for The Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust (image credit Taylor and Fraser Limited).

Drumlanrig Castle, Queensberry Estate

Client – Buccleuch Estates

Description – JDC Consulting Engineers have carried out a large number of projects for Buccleuch Estates which have included the complete refurbishment of a number of buildings within the estates portfolio, along with smaller scale works ranging from the alteration of existing facilities to accommodate changes in operation, to forward planning and environmentally driven improvements embracing sustainable technologies to enhance the visitor experience and assist on providing a sustainable future for the estate.

St Michaels Filling Station, Dumfries

Client – St Michaels Filling Station, Dumfries

Description – This complex project involves the demolishment of the existing filling stations main building and its replacement with a new facility providing enhanced facilities for customers. This is an ongoing project with JDC working closely with all design team and construction team members to provide a coordinated approach within an operational site. JDC Consulting Engineers roles on the project include the responsibility for both the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering solutions along with the Sustainable Engineering approach inclusive of the appropriate SBEM calculations (image credit Robert Potter & Partners).
